As our look back to 2009 series continues, let’s take a look at what happened during the spring months of March, April and May. It was an exciting time for the company, but a tough one for farmers, as a rainy spring delayed planting for many across the United States.

Monsanto announces a $10 million grant to establish Monsanto's Beachell-Borlaug International Scholars Program, which will help identify and support young scientists interested in improving research and production in rice and wheat. The program is administered by Texas AgriLife Research, an agency of the Texas A&M University System. The recipients of the 2009 scholarships are announced in October. (Read More)
